Anti-Aging Skin Care for the Entire Body
When it comes to anti-aging skin care, it is important to think about the entire body, not just the face. I mean, we all spend so much time creating youth enhancing affects on our face, but from the neck down … it’s not always a pretty picture. While there are more and more anti-wrinkle creams for our body on the market, it takes more than just that, to combat the hands of time. An important aspect of any skin care program is knowing what you may be doing to speed the aging process along. Once you know what you may be doing to inhibit your youth enhancing efforts, you can rectify the situation and get back on the anti-aging freeway.
First and foremost, don’t smoke! Not only does cigarette smoke increase the risk of creating fine lines and wrinkles, it also depletes the body of vitamin C, which is vital in keeping skin soft and supple. Than there is the sun, which not only dries out the skin, but also, creates freckles. Freckles may be cute on the younger set, but in time they can turn into those ugly brown age spots. If it’s tighter, firmer skin you’re looking for, exercise is key. Exercise helps tighten muscles underneath the skin, giving it that all-important anti-aging lift. Inclement weather can also contribute to premature aging of the skin. This is where a good moisturizer comes in; this goes for warm climates as well as cold. Warm weather can sometimes dry out the skin as much as cold weather can.
But don’t stop there! It is also important to ensure you get the proper amount of sleep. Lack of sleep not only affects the face, it also zaps the body’s energy, which can interfere with that youthful spring in your step. And finally, remember alcohol should always be used in moderation, as too much will restrict your blood vessels, causing that veiny look most of us connect with old age.
Anti-wrinkle creams, anti-aging skin care and diet and exercise, sometimes it can seem as if our youth enhancing efforts never end. That being said, it is all worth it when you see the beautiful results. Besides, nobody said beauty was easy!
