Alleviate the Symptoms of a Cold
We all know how painful, annoying and inconvenient having a cold can be, but did you know that they could affect your skin care beauty as well? Symptoms like runny nose, itchy and watery eyes and a dry hacking cough, disrupt everything from our work to our cosmetic endeavors. Face it, that teary-eyed look doesn’t go well with our beauty products not to mention the interference it causes to our skin care products. With all that being said, you can see why it’s even more important to alleviate the symptoms of a cold than you thought.
Here’s a tip that not only helps you feel better, but also, helps you look better; inhale steam, with an aromatic oil such as Eucalyptus or Camphor. This is so beneficial that many experts in the skin care products industry recommend it to help soften and cleanse your skin. So, not only will it help open up your nasal passages, it will enhance your skin care beauty as well.
Another helpful hint is to take a 1 to 2 g of Vitamin C. Vitamin C has been shown to reduce the severity and duration of a cold, and it helps alleviate acne and blackheads, which is so often associated with our cosmetic applications.
Finally, if you are someone who is prone to those nasty cold sores, start applying aciclover cream near the end of the cold on the areas you often get them. This is –yet again – a good skin care beauty tip as well. You know how much a cold sore can get in the way of our skin care products.
These are just a couple of things you can do to help alleviate the symptoms of a cold. Keep in mind, a few of the other things you can do such as get plenty of rest, drink plenty of liquids and have patience. A cold will usually last 7 to 10 days, so rest, relax and ride it out.
